Our commitment
SurveyInSite is built and operated by Agility Ops Business Pty Ltd in Australia. We designed the platform around data residency from the outset: your survey data is stored in the region you belong to, not wherever a global vendor happens to put it.
Where your survey data is stored
For Australian customers, all of the following is stored and backed up in Australia — Amazon Web Services, Sydney region (ap-southeast-2):
- Your survey definitions (titles, questions, options)
- All response data collected from your surveys
- Your account details and authentication records
- Your plan and entitlement records
Database backups are retained in the same Australian region. Survey response data is stored without respondent identity beyond what your own survey explicitly asks.
Data residency by region
SurveyInSite uses a separate database in each supported country, so a customer's data stays in their country. We assign each account a home region when it is created.

Sub-processors
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("sub-processors") to operate SurveyInSite. The providers below are listed with the data they handle and where they operate. None of our payment, email, or hosting providers store your survey content or response data.

Cross-border disclosure
Consistent with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APP 8), we disclose that limited personal information is handled by overseas providers for payment processing (Stripe) and email delivery (Resend). These providers process this information only to deliver those specific functions. Your survey content and response data are not disclosed to these providers and remain stored in Australia.
Access & security
- Row-level security ensures each customer can access only their own surveys and responses.
- Survey response collection is anonymous by default.
- All connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS).
- We hold data processing agreements with our sub-processors.
